The interprofession

An industrial cluster at the service of shipowners

The IPC association promotes shipbuilding and ship repair companies and supports the structuring projects of the port of Concarneau. The various commissions (communication, employment / training / attractiveness, etc.) work to strengthen the initiatives of the companies and make Concarneau an industrial port aware of contemporary issues and involved in blue growth.

THE IPC association

Created in 1993, IPC is the association that federates the companies of the naval industry of the port of Concarneau. It ensures the representation and promotion of these companies and their know-how.

The IPC’s 50 members combine their skills and availability to serve shipowners by providing shipbuilding and ship repair services, as well as equipment supply and services.

The complementary nature of their skills and knowledge combined on the Concarneau base enables them to meet all the needs of their customers, for all types of vessels: fishing, military, scientific, passenger transport and leisure craft.

President’s word

Welcome to the IPC website !

The Interprofession du Port de Concarneau has been federating our companies since 1993, with the ambition of promoting the development of the shipbuilding and ship repair industry. The IPC can rely on the representation of nearly 50 companies, with a total of 1500 employees.

The IPC looks in two directions: outside, its territory, and inside, its members. Two views for a single objective: the satisfaction of all stakeholders.

The proximity of the city and the port is a specificity of this type of activity, and the IPC plays a major role in this interface, making sure to harmonize the interests of all.

The companies of the Port of Concarneau have capitalized on the know-how they have developed over several decades, allowing them to be recognized beyond our borders, thus developing a virtuous ecosystem for the territory, and collaborating intelligently with neighboring ports.

After 30 years of existence, the IPC is proud to look to the future. This is why the team is taking action to help companies attract and retain the talent of tomorrow, and to support requests to modernize our facilities and infrastructures. And it is with a view to competitiveness, safety and respect for the environment that we are moving forward.

Enjoy your visit!
